Tristan Thompson of the Cleveland Cavaliers may be in trouble for not paying child support to Jordan Craig, the mother of his first child. Just weeks after Kim Kardashian praised Thompson for being a great father, reports have surfaced about Thompson's failures as a father.
The Daily Mail discovered court documents filed by Craig, the mother of Thompson's first child, Prince Oliver. The social media celebrity claims that since November 2022, the one-time NBA champion owes her $224,000 in back child support.
Craig is asking the court to deduct $80,000 from his monthly salary with the Cavaliers. Thompson signed a one-year veteran base salary contract in the offseason.
"I believe Tristan signed a 'veteran base salary' contract with the Cavaliers for $2.7 million per year," Craig said in a statement filed." The $80,000 request is certainly less than half of his monthly salary."
Jordan Craig filed the document less than a month after his sister Kai Craig slammed Kim Kardashian for praising Tristan Thompson. Kardashian called Thompson a "good dad" on an episode of The Kardashians. The Cleveland Cavaliers star was previously married to Kim's sister Kohler and has two children.
"It pains me to see Tristan take the time to do all these nice things for other people and can't seem to show up and be a real parent to my nephew Prince," Kay wrote on Instagram." It's fascinating and inexcusable that he can take his other children to schools and events in the same city but never see or speak to his own son unless it's for a party or planned photo opportunity. According to the article, Kim Kardashian praised Tristan Thompson as a good father to daughter Theroux and son Tatum on a recent episode of The Kardashians. Kim also called him a good friend to Kohler, whom Thompson has cheated on multiple times.
In addition to having a son with Jordan Craig and two sons with Khloe Kardashian, Tristan Thompson also has a son named Theo with fitness model Maralee Nichols.
