In the summer of 1972, the world's attention turned to Munich, Germany, as thousands of athletes from around the globe gathered to compete in the prestigious Olympic Games. On September 5th of that year, a group of Palestinian terrorists known as Black September stormed into the Olympic Village, taking eleven Israeli athletes hostage. This brutal incident, later known as the Munich Olympics Massacre, shook the world to its core and forever changed the face of the Olympic Games.
